ECAT Joins Business Community In Urging Congressional Approval Next Week of Key Trade Measures

ECAT joined with other major business associations and companies to urge Congress to pass key trade legislation before the end of the 109th Congress, particularly:

Permanent Normal Trade Relations (PNTR) with Vietnam
Renewal of the Generalized System of Preferences (GSP)
Renewal of the Andean Trade Preferences Act (ATPA) with Peru and Colombia;
Extension of benefits under the African Growth and Opportunity Act (AGOA); and
Extension of trade benefits to Haiti under the Haitian Hemispheric Opportunity through Partnership Encouragement (HOPE) Act.
