Update on Thompson-Torricelli - Sept 11 2000
A new version of the Thompson-Torricelli amendment has been proposed by Senator Thompson (R-TN). It remains a flawed unilateral sanctions measure and, if passed, would kill China PNTR. The Senate may vote as early as tomorrow on the Thompson-Torricelli amendment, and I urge you to continue your lobbying of members to oppose the amendment. Attached is a set of revised talking points on the Thompson-Torricelli amendment that you may find of use.
